Dexter Season 6

"All is well in my little corner of the world"

Returning for a 6th season, Dexter Morgan, Miami Metro Homicide's Blood Pattern Analyst, secretly a vigilante who takes down other serial killers by... well, being a serial killer himself, is on the rise. Following 5 strong seasons, the opening of this new season pleases just about every Dexter fan out there. Dexter is more than a stereotypical gruesome, blood and guts, CSI show, it gives you a mental work out.

The show really allows you get inside the mind of Dexter and the various villains. The writing of each episode is phenomenal; teases you by shedding light on the new killers, making you forget about Dexter's hunt for them, and then surprises you with Dexter's final plan for them, as he puts them on 'his table'. While being this "monster" Dexter makes himself out to be, he tries to find a balance for his three year old son, Harrison. Dexter fears that his "dark passenger" will be passed on to him. Dexter makes it clear to himself that his "vigilante" rituals will stay completely separate of his bed time rituals with Harrison. In this new season, Dexter finds himself facing religion for the first time. Growing up through his mother's murder, the time was spent dealing with that pain and not so much on religion. Between questioning whether if he believes in God or not, he has to find a place for his son in a Catholic pre-school, and unknowingly there are "delusional religious zealots" causing trouble in Miami by believing they are causing an early start to the Biblical apocalypse. By these circumstances, does Dexter find himself looking to God and begin to see himself as an arch-angel? Will these new killers ultimately bring an end to Dexter's vigilante-style killings?

I know for sure my "dark passenger" is pleased so far with the new season.
